Wimbledon Common Prep School

WCPS, affectionately known as Squirrels, is a busy and bustling Pre-Prep that caters to boys aged 4 to 7. We operate a three-form entry, ultimately feeding into a variety of Prep schools across London, including King’s College Wimbledon. We are part of the King’s College Corporation and benefit greatly from their governance and the use of shared facilities.

Whilst we are selective, and cater extensively for the 7+ process, we are not a ‘hot house’.  We are a community, and we form strong family partnerships. We focus on the whole child whilst working with you, the parents, to establish the best path for your child to follow, preparing him to thrive. Your child’s happiness and self-esteem are paramount and must come above all else: from the moment you walk through our front door, there is a buzz of excitement and fun.

Our children are inquisitive and eager to learn, and we ensure that they are always engaged and enjoying themselves. Our corridors and play areas abound with keen and interested children and we like to teach through play and exploration. Pupils take advantage of our fantastic facilities and have a multitude of exciting extra-curricular activities to choose from. They are encouraged to guide their learning and we take great pleasure in acknowledging a boy’s curiosities, which often steer lessons in a new direction.
